EAS (Electronic Article Surveillance), as a popular product safety guardian in the retail field, has become an important line of defense against product theft with its high-tech characteristics. The integration of UHF RFID tags and EAS systems can give products the ability to protect themselves, ensure product safety, and effectively resist theft.
Before electronic tags are put into use, an indispensable step is the registration process. This process involves encoding the basic information of the product into the electronic tag and simultaneously entering it into a dedicated database system to establish a close association between the tag and the product. In particular, each electronic tag has a built-in protected EAS bit, whose modification permissions are strictly limited and only respond to specific operation instructions. During registration, this EAS bit will be specially activated as the key to subsequent security verification.
When the product is ready to leave the warehouse or sales area with an electronic tag, a key step is to use a professional reader and writer to send a specific instruction to clear the EAS bit in the electronic tag. This operation is a prerequisite for the product to pass the export inspection mechanism smoothly, ensuring smooth and unimpeded legal circulation. If this clearing operation is not performed, the system will immediately trigger an audible and visual alarm when passing through the detection area, effectively deterring and preventing potential illegal behavior.
